New Zealand Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal Exam

Join us for a delightful afternoon as students in New Zealand take on the Solo Seal examination on Sunday 21 September.

This is a unique opportunity to attend the Solo Seal, the RAD’s highest level of examination open to students who achieve Distinction on their RAD Advanced 2.

The Solo Seal takes place in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. Candidates perform three contrasting solo variations and a finale, which have been chosen to meet the technical and movement demands of today’s top choreographers and directors. The Solo Seal is an opportunity for pre-professional dancers to achieve at a very high technical level. 

Come and see young dancers as they harness their nerves and polish their technique to perform at their very best.

There will be no tickets issued, entry will only be permitted by you bringing a copy of the tax invoice/receipt with you on the day. This will be emailed to you when payment is made for the order. Applicants must be paid 2025/2026 members to be eligible for the member’s rate.
