Advance your dance career: join our info session on the Professional Dancers’ Graduate Teaching Diploma.

The Professional Dancers’ programme (PDGTD) opens the door to an exciting new chapter in your dance career, giving you the opportunity to transfer into teaching while earning an internationally respected RAD teaching qualification.

Created for working dancers, the programme offers you the flexibility to study part‑time around rehearsals, performances and other commitments. You’ll begin with an online induction supported by distance learning before immersing yourself in a two‑week intensive study period in London or Sydney. You will then complete a teaching placement in a school or setting that reflects your own teaching context.

Graduates gain eligibility to become Registered Teachers of the Royal Academy of Dance joining a global network of trusted, sought‑after dance educators.

You will learn about:

  • Entry requirements
  • Application deadline for a February 2027 start
  • How the PDGTD programme is structured
  • What it’s like to study via distance learning
