James Groom
Benesh International Lead Officer
James began his dance training in Essex before moving to London in 2016 to attend the Royal Academy of Dance, where he trained as a ballet teacher. He earned his BA (Hons) in Ballet Education and the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance (LRAD), and also became an RAD Registered Teacher (RAD RTS). As a freelance ballet teacher, he has taught throughout London and serves as a sessional lecturer for the Faculty of Education, contributing to various teacher training programs, including the BABE, LRAD, and CDT programs.
In addition to freelancing, James completed the Professional Award in Benesh Movement Notation (PABMN) in 2022 and is currently pursuing an MA in Education at the University of Reading. He is thrilled to be joining the Benesh International team and looks forward to enhancing the understanding and accessibility of Benesh Movement Notation.
