At age 16, Spanish-born Filipino, John-Mathew Aben aka Jumar ‘Jumanji’ began as a freestyle mover. Jumar began his professional training at the centre of advanced training at LABAN and Barnet College with classical technique in ballet, contemporary release and Cunningham.

While studying classical techniques, he became passionate about Hip Hop dance, commercial and funk styles. He trained alongside various hip-hop dance crews and graduated from the University of East London with a BA in Urban dance.
