Background
Following her eighteen-year career as a professional dancer, Justine embarked on the Professional Dancers’ Teaching Diploma in 2003. Since graduating, Justine has taught extensively for the Royal Academy of Dance, both nationally and internationally. She is a Continuing Professional Development tutor for a variety of subjects including Vocational Syllabi, Benesh Movement Notation, Pointework, and Silver Swans. Justine is also a former Trustee of the RAD.
She has taught for many of the major vocational schools in the United Kingdom including Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, Central School of Ballet, English National Ballet School, Laine Theatre Arts, London Studio Centre and the Royal Ballet School. Following many years as a freelance teacher for the Faculty of Education, Justine accepted a permanent position as Lecturer in Dance Education in 2019. She combines her work with the Faculty of Education with teaching character and delivering teacher training at The Royal Ballet School.
