Mary Keene

Director of Examinations

Mary has worked in education for nearly 20 years now, primarily in the Arts but also in Engineering and Medicine. She was Director of Operations at Rockschool (RSL Awards) for 6 years and has also worked at LAMDA and EAL, bringing a wealth of experience within the Awarding Organisation sector to the RAD.

In addition has a strong background in assessment digitisation working with the Royal College of Psychiatrists during the pandemic to completely digitise all their written and practical assessments as well as developing Rockschool’s customised exams and vocational qualifications systems and project managing several system replacements at EAL.

Mary is a firm believer in the value of arts education and hopes she can help to transform the Royal Academy of Dance’s offering for the 21st century and beyond.
