Mia Okorafor

STEP Practitioner

Mia initially trained at the Jurek Sroka School of Dance in Plymouth, after which she studied dance full time at Stonelands School of Dance and Drama in Dawlish Devon, as well as attending West Street Ballet School and the Royal Ballet Schools Senior Associate programme in London. She then won a three-year scholarship to attend London Studio Centre where she completed her Diploma in jazz and theatre dance and her BA Hons in performance studies at Arts Educational Schools London. 

Mia has worked as a professional artist for over 20 years performing on worldwide Arena tours, TV Shows, and commercials. Mia has a passion for teaching dance education and developing her students’ technical and creative abilities. She has a level 6 dance teaching diploma and an MA in Education and always looks for ways to challenge and develop her practice to stay current and to give her students the best possible experience of dance.
