Vikki’s first and foremost passion is dance, and she is extremely proud to belong to the RAD, not only as a teacher, but also through her connections over the years in different roles, from housemother to Regional Advisory Committee member, CBTS tutor, and examiner, all of which have given her the opportunity to build strong ties with different people around the world.

Having lived in Mexico where she ran her own school, she understands many of the worries of the small school ballet teacher and having various family all teaching the RAD syllabus (in the UK and UAE), and sees how the same struggles can occur in different parts of the world.

Vikki feels that even the smallest school can benefit from the umbrella of the organisation and that it is very important that the RAD continues to build this community and listen to its worldwide membership. The passion that already exists for continuing its legacy into the next 100 years and beyond, can be upheld and fully communicated to members and having trustees who are in constant contact with the grassroots membership, and an experience of living out of the UK is essential to achieving these goals for a global organisation.
