Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) helps clinicians in several ways. It is:

a recording instrument for on-the-spot assessments and re-evaluations,
a research apparatus, in tandem with instrumentation, to document observations, and
a resource for analysing functional and dysfunctional movement patterns.
