A message to EU students following the European Union referendum

The UK’s Prime Minister triggered Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty on 29 March 2017 signifying the formal start of the two-year negotiation for the terms of Britain’s exit from the European Union. The UK will remain a member of the EU for the next two years and that there will be no immediate changes to the circumstances of European citizens living, studying and working here in the UK.

The Universities Minister Chris Skidmore has announced that EU students starting a higher education course in England in 2020/21 academic year will be guaranteed home status and financial support for the duration of their course. The guarantee, deal or no deal, covers undergraduate and postgraduate financial support, Advanced Learner loans and FE and apprenticeship support. The Government is continuing to work on fee arrangements for EU students starting in 2021/22.

Further announcements will be made available here.

The following information relates to fees for entry in September 2019 or January 2020.
