Getting to the RAD

Buses
The 170 bus from Clapham Junction or Victoria stops very close to the entrance to the RAD.

Underground
We are not within walking distance of any tube stations, but buses run directly from south-west London.
South Kensington (Piccadilly, District and Circle lines) –  Take the 345 or 49 bus from outside the underground station.
Sloane Square (District and Circle lines) –  Take the 319 or 19 bus from outside the underground station.
All of the above buses (345, 49, 319, 19) stop at Battersea Bridge and the Academy is a 20 minute walk by the river.
London Victoria (Victoria, District and Circle lines)  – Take the 170 bus from outside the mainline station.

Overground
The RAD is a 20-minute walk from Clapham Junction station on the overground. You can also take 170 bus from Clapham Junction (exit on Grant Road, bus stop A).

Car
There are no parking facilities on the RAD premises but there is metered parking in nearby streets.

For International students, travelling to central London:

From Heathrow airport:

Buses
National Express run frequent coach services throughout the day with journey times to London Victoria of between 45 minutes – 1 hour.

Train
Heathrow Express trains run to and from London Paddington every 15 minutes, and the journey takes 15 minutes. Heathrow Connect trains stopping service to London Paddington runs every 30 minutes, and the journey takes 26 minutes.

Taxi
London taxis are available outside each terminal. The cost to central London is approximately £45- £70, and the journey time is approximately 1 hour.

Underground
The Piccadilly Line runs from the airport into central London.

From Gatwick airport:

Buses
easyBus to Fulham Broadway (West London) runs every 15 minutes and the journey takes 1 hour. National Express coaches run every hour and the journey takes 1 hour 30 minutes.

Train
Gatwick Express trains run to London Victoria every 15 minutes, and the journey takes 30-35 minutes. Southern Trains to London Victoria via East Croydon and Clapham Junction run every 15 minutes, and the journey takes 35 minutes.

Taxi
Journey times and costs vary depending on your destination, but take around 65 minutes to central London.
