GCSE Dance Overview

GCSE Dance helps students to develop technical and expressive skills as well as knowledge and understanding of dance through performance, choreography and critical appreciation.

We offer first-rate teaching with consistently excellent results, equipping students to progress to further dance studies. Students benefit from our strong links with the professional dance industry and other academic institutions through dance workshops and tutorials.

Former students have gone on to study further dance related subjects and complete their Teacher Training with the RAD, or to develop their careers in:

  • Choreography
  • Performance, and
  • Dance administration

The course combines practical and written skills with a focus on choreography and performance, as well as analysis and criticism of dance.
