Benesh International: Notação de Movimento Benesh
A Benesh International serve como sede da Benesh Movement Notation (BMN). Anteriormente conhecido como Instituto Benesh, faz parte da RAD desde 1997. Dedicamo-nos a apoiar a comunidade da dança, salvaguardando os direitos autorais coreográficos, educando os futuros coreólogos e nutrindo a comunidade BMN. Criado por Rudolf e Joan Benesh e lançado em 1955, o BMN é um sistema de notação para documentar o movimento humano, predominantemente usado na documentação e reconstrução de peças de dança.

A história do Benesh International
Concebido por Rudolf e Joan Benesh, e publicado pela primeira vez em 1956, o BMN é um sistema escrito para registrar o movimento humano. É mais amplamente utilizado na gravação e reencenação de obras de dança.
Mais de 1.750 pontuações BMN foram escritas. Estas são usados para reconstruir e reviver o repertório, para analisar o movimento e como material de origem para pesquisas educacionais. Os exercícios e danças definidos nos programas RAD são publicados no BMN, pois isso permite que os professores estudem o trabalho em uma linguagem comum e com mais detalhes do que é possível apenas com notas ou vídeos.

Professional Certificate in Benesh Movement Notation (PCBMN)
This part-time distance learning programme provides a thorough grounding in the principles and usage of the Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) system for all those with an interest in the observation, analysis and recording of all forms of human movement.
Professional Diploma in Benesh Movement Notation (PDBMN)
PDBMN is the highest taught award in Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) which prepares students to become a Professional Benesh Choreologist. It equips students with the necessary skills to use BMN for the recording and reconstruction of movement to a professional level, and will prepare them for employment as Benesh Choreologists in a repertory dance company.
Score Reading for Dancers (SRfD)
This award is delivered and examined in weekly lessons over two years at vocational schools and colleges by Benesh International.
Benesh for Beginners
This flexible distance learning course can be studied by anyone looking for an introduction to Benesh Movement Notation. It is particularly suitable for RAD teachers who want to be able to read the notation in RAD’s published syllabus books. The course is delivered by Benesh International and you can start at any point in the year.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The RAD CPD department offer a variety of starter courses in Benesh Movement Notation (BMN), in addition to the Benesh Movement Notation for Ballet distance learning course which holds time-valued CPD.
Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) for Clinicians
Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) serves clinicians in several ways:
- As a recording instrument for on-the-spot assessments and subsequent re-evaluations,
- As a research apparatus, in tandem with instrumentation techniques, to document clinical observations,
- And as an educational resource to facilitate the systematic scrutiny of movement for clinical analysis of both functional and dysfunctional patterns.
