Reena Bhattacharjee

BA (Hons) Ballet Education, RAD RTS, ISTD DDE

Reena trained at the Royal Academy of Dance, graduating with a BA (Hons) Ballet Education, as well as achieving further qualifications with the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing. After qualifying, she started working as a freelance performer – including dancing in the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics – and teacher.

Reena currently runs her own school in London, as well as teaching for the Royal Academy of Dance at their HQ, and the Junior School of professional ballet company Ballet Black.

Alongside teaching, Reena is currently completing a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Science at Trinity Laban Conservatoire (with a research project exploring the sleep of professional ballet dancers), working as a module Tutor for trainee ballet teachers, and is also the Chairperson of the London & Middlesex Regional Advisory Committee of the RAD.
