Marking The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at the RAD

To mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we’ve been looking back at events surrounding her 70-year patronage of the RAD.

We’re looking back into the distant and not so distant past, with the early days of Her Majesty’s involvement with the RAD, to the more recent Patron’s Lunch in 2016 which saw the RAD dancers turn out en masse for the celebrations. We’ll also find out what it’s like to receive Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award from David McAllister, former principal and artistic director of The Australian Ballet and Carlos Acosta, former principal of The Royal Ballet and artistic director of Birmingham Royal Ballet.
