The Big Give Christmas 2022

Give the gift of dance this Christmas

This year at the RAD, we’re taking part in The Big Give between 29 November and 6 December. Thanks to our Charity Champions, any gift donation that you make between these dates will be matched pound for pound toward our fundraising total, and will go to help so many in our community.

We are very mindful of the current cost of living crisis that many will struggle with this Christmas, however, if you are a position where you are able to make a donation to the RAD during the Big Give week, whatever the size, your donation will have twice the impact.

Your support will make all the difference

So far we’ve raised £25,000 of matched funding from generous donations from our Charity Champions, The Childhood Trust, and Mrs Ida Levine, but we need your help! We are looking to raise a further £25,000 during the Big Give week which will be matched by our Charity Champions.

Your donation will be doubled and the money we raise will go towards projects that introduce children and young people to dance who often wouldn’t otherwise have access to it, such as RADiate, which offers subsidised dance and movement classes, at our London Dance School, to children with learning difficulties:

“I have seen a busy group of children with SEN begin to slow and start to listen to a new adult. They can find it hard to express themselves but in these sessions I have observed children who can be reserved, volunteering to dance and move for the rest of the class. They have been following instructions and copying movements. Most importantly, we have been having fun and it has truly been the highlight of every week.”

“Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment and because of this, charities like the RAD face challenges in trying to fulfil our mission to reach out to people, and to take dance and the sense of wellbeing that it brings into communities. Your gift will be so valuable to our work and will mean a real difference to so many people.”
