Fonteyn gold medallist featured in the new Dancing Times

Alice McArthur, gold medallist at last month's Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition, appears on the cover of the October edition of Dancing Times - the first winner to do so since 1968 (when the competition was known as the 'Genée').

Alice trained at the Auckland Academy of Dance and is now at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, Germany. Showing great promise from an early age, she was awarded a special mention in the RAD’s 14+ Dance Scholarship in 2018 and was an intern at the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2020. Alice was the overall winner of the Asian Grand Prix in 2019 and a silver medallist at the South African International Competition in 2020 before adding the Fonteyn gold to her growing list of achievements.
